CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS WITH LINDA DARLOW I also enroll classes for Linda Darlow. To download a copy of a brochure of classes, click here. She and I co lead the Performer's Mastery, as well I am being mentored by her to teach or sub for the other classes that she offers. These include:
ADVANCED AUDITION Students who have taken Audition 1 in the past qualify to move on to Advanced Audition with Linda Darlow. Advanced Audition is for actors to take the basics of audition technique to the next level. Linda runs actors through a series of exercises as well as provides scene material on a weekly basis to exercise the instrument and keep you sharp for when you get the call to read for a role. DATES AND TIMES: There are two opportunities to work with Linda Darlow, see below Tuesday Evenings, 7 - 10 PM starting April 17 - July 3 2012 Friday Days, 10 AM - 1 PM starting April 20 - July 6 2012 COST: $675 HST included for the 12 weeks, payable in two $337.50 installments (other payment arrangements can be made directly with Linda) - All scene materials supplied by Linda - Classes are held at her house in East Vancouver - There are no make up classes, if you miss a session you forfeit Maximum 8 students
TWO DAY COMMERCIAL WORKSHOP Over a weekend, in two very full days you will learn the specific nuts and bolts of how to audition for commercials and improve your call back and booking rating. Linda used to cast commercials in Los Angeles, and from that learned what is required for an actor to successfully be seen and either brought back or hired. This workshop is a must do for any actor interested in succeeding in the commercial world. DATE AND TIME: February 2012, date to be confirmed (either 18/19 or 25/26) - All scene materials supplied by Linda - A $100 deposit is required to hold your spot - The workshop is held at Henry J Mah's residence in East Vancouver COST: $280 HST included Maximum 8 students
HOW TO GET AN AGENT WORKSHOP This one day session is for actors that are either seeking representation for the first time or are considering a change. There is much to know about getting an agent, and Linda has been around long enough to know the ins and outs of doing it in a way that is efficient and will produce results. DATE AND TIME: next one TBA, based on demand COST: $112 HST included for one 4 hour session Maximum 8 students
